I started collecting because of a grandma. Christmas 1990 she got me a Topps baseball complete set. from there I expanded to other sports mostly football and basketball. my grandma and my Great Aunt owned a convenient store in the little town we lived in. 1991or 92 they started selling comic books. they had a round rotating rack full of them. at the end of every month they would box up the ones that didn't sell to send back with the sales rep. before he would come my grandma would let me pick out the ones I wanted. it didn't take long before I had a pretty big collection. when people would pay with old coins at their store (silver dollars, half dollars, buffalo nickels wheat pennies) or even 2dollar bills she would buy them from the register and give them to collect. she would also give me stamps to collect a lot of pretty cool ones, some very old. I still have all the things she gave me to collect, to many to mention. I'm still adding to them to this day.
