The main reason I started collecting is because the fact that I love baseball and everything about it. I love the history of it, the great players that have come and gone and where the game is headed. As for the cards, my dad used to take us once a week to a local card shop, where he would give us $10 each to buy, sell and trade w/e we wanted. I learned from a very young age the importance of condition and value in the cards and like everyone, just loved the thrill of the "rip"! 30 years later, I found a 1994 Topps complete setvthat my dad had bought the year it came out, and was passed on to me when he passed. I started going through each card and it brought back the memories and the urge to begin collecting again. Love the chase, love the hobby and love the sport. Now I collect to pass on to my 2 boys so they can enjoy when Im gone and hope they have the same feelings about them as I do ;)
